Fall Trends from Free People

With fall being right around the corner, the Free People stylist Maggie and I decided to throw together a few of our favorite trends for the upcoming season! Layering is huge this fall, justifying our choice of a cream lace long sleeve layering top to complement the to-die-for Rails flannel and jeans shorts. Also featured in this shoot are hints of the classic boyfriend cardigan and plaids-galore, both current Free People obsessions!

The Bomber Jacket is not only making its way into every lookbook of the current season but it is also making its way into the depths of my heart!!! This jacket, the perfect cool-factor that can spice up the typical outfit is being shown with floral patterns and bright colors....greatest combo ever! Mara Hoffman, specifically, has been creating some to-die-for jackets that I have showcased in the pictures above, along with the always fabulous Shakuhachi.

Color Craze

With all of the new spring collections being revealed, it is impossible not to drool over the new Michael Kors 'Destination Kors' lookbook! The twins of How Two Live's instagram, the Nordstrom jewelry cases, and websites like Revolve & Shopbop are full of this new eye-candy. The brightly colored faces of the watches scream summer and will be the perfect complement to any jean-short & tee combo. The only problem is….which color to choose!

They say you can see the style of a women through her hands....or somethin' like that ;) ! I am currently addicted to the metal-filled digits of the modern-day fashionistas. Not being able to afford a stack of the Cartier Love Bracelets on each arm and three Cartier Rings, like Kylie & Kendall Jenner, I had to find myself an alternative. Shakuhachi

Lately, it seems like everything desirable is coming from Australia! The twins bloggers of How Two Live, the notable bathing suit companies of N.L.P. and Triangl Swimwear, and most importantly the brand Shakuhachi. This brand makes every color-lover's fantasy come true through their various flower patterns and blinding neons that are made within exotic shapes and styles. Since I am still saving up for the Flower Bomber (and will be for a while most likely), I decided to purchase the Zoe Pink Flat for starters! The perfect twist to the classic Birkenstock- this shoe was calling my name. And how appropriate for the upcoming holiday!

The Australian based company is humbly making its way into the US through various wholesale retailers of the brand such as Nastygal, Free People, & Revolve. If you haven't heard the hype about them yet, you will. Perfectly frayed, delicate stitched details, and a symbol on the button to display not only the freedom of your soul but also of your style. This is the brand to follow.

This style has been on my mind since last season when it was released- finally caved in and bought a pair over the weekend. A lil shopping never hurt nobody :)
